Victoria Sowerby is the Senior Category Analyst at Cross Green and has been with the Symington’s family since September 2010.
Victoria was nominated for an ABCD Award by Nathan Hill, Business Unit Director and Torquil McCombe, Category Controller. They commended Victoria for all her help and support in launching the new Asda products. In particular giving up 3 weekends to work in-store. Victoria was also given very positive feedback from the Asda Team.

Tony Weston is part of the Warehouse Team at Low Moor and has been a member of the Symington’s family since March 2002.
Tony was nominated for an ABCD Award by Sandra Sharkey, Dave Davey, Amanda Ryan, Chris Davis, Jurijs Gorkins, Andrew Farrer & Ethan Bentley. They all commended Tony for being a team player and always willing to help and support others. In particular helping production maintain good house-keeping standards in the factory.

Will Dymond is the Assistant Quality Manager at Low Moor and has been with the Symington’s family since May 2009.
Will was nominated for an ABCD Award by Brendan Lee, Site Production Manager. Brendan commended Will for his support in helping out at short notice on the night shift and for all his hard work and efforts in helping deliver all the new product launches “ Will definitely added strength to the Team on nights”.

Grant Naylor manages the Stores Department at Dartmouth and has been a member of the Symington’s family since August 2001.
Grant was nominated for an ABCD Award by Paul Davies, Group Chief Engineer. Paul commended Grant for all his hard work and efforts in organising the stores. “Over the last 2 years, Grant has built up the stores to be an efficient operation and was told in the last Tesco PIU audit, that it was what a good stores department should look like”. He has also put in KPI’s for his team to continue to make improvements. Definitely an unsung hero!

Trevor Kemp works as a Machine Operator in Unit 3 at Dartmouth Way, Leeds, and has been a member of the Symingtons Production Team since August 2009.
Trevor was nominated for an ABCD Award by Gary Sowden, Assistant Unit Manager. Billie Hunter has been a member of the Symington’s family for 3 years, and does a fantastic job managing the gatehouse and welcoming visitors to Cross Green in Leeds.
Billie was nominated for an ABCD Award by Michelle Wood, HR Director. Despite spending long days in the gatehouse, in all weathers, Billie always has a welcoming smile and a pleasant word to say to all visitors at Cross Green.

Leanne Boom has been a member of the Symington’s family for over 4 years. She currently works within stock replenishment and is based at Dartmouth Way in Leeds.
Leanne was nominated for an ABCD Award by colleagues Vicky Manston, Purchasing and Nathan Hill, Sales. They commended Leanne for all her hard work and effort in minimising the obsolete stock for the Asda re-brand launch, which has resulted in a large cost saving in potential write-off costs.

Damien Broadbent, a former agency worker via Direct Workforce, has been a permanent employee and part of the Symington’s family for just under a year. Damien works on the gantry at the factory at Dartmouth Way.
Damien was nominated for an ABCD Award by colleagues Nick Goodall and David Evans who commented “Damien’s contribution over the last month has been outstanding. He uses his own initiative, maintains housekeeping and line efficiency and also supports other Gantry Operators.”

Steve Henderson has been a member of the Symington’s family for over 13 years. He currently manages the Warehouse Department at Dartmouth Way in Leeds.
Steve was nominated for an ABCD Award by colleague Chris Gash in QA. Chris commended Steve for his commitment to the Company, commenting on the hours that he works including most weekends and that whilst constantly under pressure from other departments Steve is always helpful and will go out of his way to solve problems for others.
